HARMONY OF THE SEAS

HAS FINALLY ARRIVED

By Nadia Jastrjembskaia, Ph.D., CLIA certified Elite Cruise Counselor

As I am writing this post, my client Nick is live streaming on Facebook about all the Oasis class ships: Harmony of the Seas, Allure of the Seas, and the oldest sister Oasis of the Seas are lining up for photo shoot.

Did you read my previous blog about family reunions? Click here to read!

We have a group of guests who are on Harmony of the Seas now. Their feedback? This is absolutely the best cruise ship in cruise industry. Nick told me that he finally experienced all features on the Harmony of the Seas at their eleventh day of sailing.

I am invited by Royal Caribbean International for its inaugural sailing on November 10, 2016. So, I will have a lot of pictures and videos to share with my clients and followers.

Let’s talk about the Harmony of the Seas

Harmony of the Seas will be the biggest ship in the world and her sister Allure of the Seas will go down to second place.

It also will carry 100 more cruisers compare to sister ships. It will be 1,700 tons more with 227,000 tons total.

Harmony of the Seas will have features that Oasis and Allure of the Seas don’t have. Some new features you can find on the Quantum class ships – Quantum of the Seas and Anthem of the Seas.

Seven Features that Separate Harmony of the Seas from Sister Ships.

#1. The Ultimate Abyss

Harmony of the Seas, Royal Caribbean International

This is 100 feet, 10-story plunge in a new never seen attraction in the cruise industry. It starts five decks above the Pool and Sports Zone at the aft of the ship and drops at the Boardwalk neighborhood below.

The Ultimate Abyss is a signature ride for Royal Caribbean International. It is complimentary as well as the Perfect Storm and Splashaway Bay.

My client Nick tested the Ultimate Abyss and reported that the slide is extremely comfortable to ride.” You feel as if you’re sledding down the hill,” he told me.

#2. The Perfect Storm

The Perfect Storm has three slides: Cyclone, Typhoon and Supercell. They spiral three decks above the Central Park and is the first slides on Royal Caribbean fleet.

Royal Caribbean International plans to add water slides on majority of its ships but Harmony of the Seas is the first to have it.

#3. Splashaway Bay

Splashaway Bay replaced H2O Zone on its sister ships – Oasis and Allure of the Seas. It is a toddler-friendly water park with sea creatures and unique landscape.

#4. Interior Staterooms with a View

Don’t worry! The most affordable staterooms are available but with a new twist: virtual balconies.

Interior staterooms with virtual balconies on Royal Caribbean fleet first were introduced on Navigator of the Seas.

Quantum class ships, Quantum and Anthem of the Seas, also received interior staterooms with virtual balconies but they have regular interior staterooms available.

#5. Two-story Wonderland Restaurant

Wonderland specialty restaurant was introduced on the Quantum of the Seas.

Royal Caribbean International describes it as ‘imaginative cuisine’ with an “I don’t know what to expect” reaction from its guests.

#6. Large Stateroom

Harmony of the Seas, Royal Caribbean International

Harmony of the Seas has bigger staterooms for all stateroom categories: inside, outside and with balconies.

Also, staterooms have more storage space compare to sister ships, Oasis and Allure of the Seas.

#7. Bionic Bar

The Bionic Bar is another Quantum class innovation reached Harmony of the Seas. Guests can order drinks and watch as a robot bartender creates their concoction from 30 spirits and over 20 mixers. It is fun to watch in first place.

Starting November 2016, Harmony of the Seas does Western and Eastern Caribbean cruises from Fort Lauderdale. She replaces Oasis of the Seas. As you know, Oasis of the Seas is transferred to Port Canaveral to do also Western and Eastern Caribbean cruises.
