About Travel Industry
 
Not too long ago, travelers looking to get away would visit a travel agency and get information and book their vacations.  Travel agents were little more than booking agents – the client said “I want this” and the agent made it so.  Agents were paid with a commission from the travel supplier.
 
As known, most consumers view travel agents more as a retail outlet for travel product than a service. As a result, they enter into the relationship with a new travel agent in the same way they might with Wal-Mart.
 
In the context of a retail relationship, the burden is almost completely that of the retailer. The consumer is completely free to bargain, to ask for the retailer to “beat this price”, to research the retailer, and go elsewhere. The relationship is one sided in favor of the consumer and almost entirely price-driven.
 
Selling travel is a hybrid retail/service industry. As retailers, we have no control over the product we sell. We can’t control the inventory, the price, the distribution or our own compensation. Our suppliers (cruise lines, airlines, hotels, car rental companies, etc) exist to make sure their own business is profitable.
 
Right now, travel industry is divided into three camps–retailers (all online companies), service oriented agents, and a mix of both.
 
Who We Are?
Aurora Cruises & Travel is service-oriented travel agency. As a service industry, our loyalty is the client. When our sole compensation is from the supplier and not the consumer it can be hard to be loyal to the client.
 
We are a service, not a retail model travel agency.
 
  We loyal to our customers, not suppliers. We offer service and value for the client’s money, the final arbiter is the client. Our goal is to build a loyal clientele who respect our time, effort, and expertise. As a result, they enjoy their wonderful vacations.
 
A well-designed vacation requires a lot of planning
 
In contrast to commercials on TV, our experienced customers know that cheap doesn’t guarantee value for their money. In some cases, it may be better to postpone a vacation, but not jump onto a ‘best deal.’ Arranging Foreign Individual Trips (FIT) by yourself, connecting international flights, transfers from airport to hotel and back, excursions, and a cruise can become overwhelming.
 
Quality service require a lot of effort, time, and expertise
 
According to research, only 10% of inquiries are final sales. As a service travel company, we wish to cut all shoppers’ inquiries up to minimum so we can concentrate on quality service for buyers.
