Royal Caribbean International launched a new campaign with the purpose of attracting a new generation: millennials.
Let’s face it: When I try to explain cruising to a young adult – the reaction is almost always the same – cruising is for older people. They reject the idea on spot and ask me to suggest something that is really ‘cool.’
Believe it or not, most people has a perception of cruising as eating and playing cards. – What else you can do while on cruise?
Sometimes, they are right because of previous experiences on the wrong ship or with wrong cruise line.
As I wrote before, there are tens of cruise lines on the market that target the different demographics. That is why it is so important to be on the ‘right’ ship for YOU.
Royal Caribbean International makes it very clear: their cruise products are designed for a younger generation.
“You are not a tourist” and “This is not a cruise” – this a clear message about the kind of guests they want to see on board. Guests who enjoy FlowRider surf simulator and the RipCord by iFly skydiving experience.
There are a few commercials there, but I picked out our new baby in the fleet – Anthem of the Seas. I just have to leave the office to experience cruising on this ship and plan to make a post about it when I get back.
Enjoy Royal Caribbean’s commercial!
