As I mentioned in my previous blog, I am ready for my business trip to Russia that is combined with my leisure cruise on Azamara Journey. Yes, travel professionals need vacations also.

This trip is extremely complicated due to difference in climate – chilly in St-Petersburg, Russia and sunny in Sicily – as well in nature: business attire and leisure outfits.

I hate big luggage. I prefer four-spinners small to mid-size that are easy to move to/from airport and to/from pier. My dilemma was: how to combine non-combinable items and utilize luggage space.

I did some research over the Internet and found a lot of great tricks. Later, I will share most of them with you. For today’s blog, I picked up six tricks that I like to use on upcoming trip.

Put Your Face Creams and Make-ups into Contact Lens Cases

This is a great idea if you need small quantities of products. Simply pour a dollop of your favorite cream, moisturizer or make-up into clean contact lens case.

Put Cotton Swabs in Empty Pill Bottles

I like this idea! Old pill bottle is a perfect container for Q-Tips: clean and dry.

Place Your Shoes into a Shower Cap

You probably have a lot of show caps from hotels you stayed previously – use them! Slip your shoes inside the disposable cap and keep the rest of your belongings clean

Wrap Your Shampoo or Conditioner with Plastic

How many times your shampoo was leaked inside your bag? Mine many times before I started using Glad’s Press’n Seal Food Wrap. I tested this idea – trust me, this works!

Organize Your Jewelry with Pill Case

This is great for rings and pierces. Make sure that cells are big enough to put your favorite ones. Be careful with expensive pieces – better to leave them at home. I prefer to use good quality costume jewelries instead of real ones while on trip.

Put Dryer Sheets into Shoes

If you take your shoes off just after party to put into luggage because due is at mid-night – you know what I am talking about. Dryer sheets will prevent you bag to smell bad when you open it.
